INTRODUCTION <br /> s <br /> Kleinfelder was retained by Mr. Ron Weldum, P.E. to conduct a Phase I Environmental Site <br /> Assessment (ESA) of a property located at the southwest corner of Lone Tree Road and <br /> Campbell Road in Escalon, California. The subject property is hereafter referred to as the "site". <br /> The ESA was generally completed in accordance with the guidelines and limitations of the <br /> y" American Society for Testing Materials' (ASTM's) "Standard Practice for Environmental Site <br /> Assessments: Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Process" E1527-97. <br /> r. <br /> The purpose of this assessment is to assist the client in evaluation of"recognized environmental <br /> conditions" at the site. A recognized environmental condition is defined by the ASTM standard <br /> as "the presence or likely presence of hazardous substances or petroleum products on a property <br /> under conditions that indicate an release, past release, or a material threat of a release of any <br /> hazardous substances or petroleum products into structures on the property or into the ground, <br /> ,. groundwater or surface water of the property.
