USAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT
..Cc; :`'y• 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor, Stockton, California 95202-2708
/P6MN
February 3, 2006
To: San Joaquin County Community Development Department
From: San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department D
Contact Person: Ted Tasiopoulos,R.E.H.S.,Phone: (209) 953-7698
RE: PA-0500840 (SA), SU0005886,Attention: Kathy Allen
2900 E. Loomis Road, Stockton
The San Joaquin County Development Title Requirements listed below have been identified as
pertinent to this project. Other requirements may also apply. These requirements cannot be
modified.
A. The Environmental Health Department requires a soil suitability study incorporating
proposed staff and customer use, indicating that the area is suitable for septic tank usage.
This must be performed prior to issuance of building permit(s) (San Joaquin County
Development Title, Section 9-1105.2(d)). A review fee of$186.00 must be paid at time of
submittal to the Environmental Health Department.
The sewage disposal system shall comply with the on site sewage standards of San Joaquin
County prior to approval. A percolation test that meets absorption rates of the manual of
septic tank practice or E.P.A. Design Manual for onsite wastewater treatment and disposal
system is required for each parcel. A permit fee of$93.00 per percolation hole is required.
B. State on revised site plans the maximum number of employees and customers the sewage
disposal system is being designed for. In addition, show on revised plans that the leach field
area will be barricaded so it cannot be driven over, parked on, or used as a storage area. This
leach field area must be used for that specific purpose only, and it cannot contain any
underground utility lines (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1110.4(c)(5)).
In addition, the revised site plan shall incorporate the 100% designed sewage disposal
replacement area.
C. Destroy the abandoned well(s)under permit or obtain an out of service well permit and
inspection by the Environmental Health Department as required(San Joaquin County
Development Title, Section 9-1115.5(e)).
D. Environmental Health Department records indicate a septic permit was issued for Parcel 2 on
August 23,1973. Permit Number 73-743 indicates a structure on Parcel 2 with a 1200-gallon
concrete tank, 100 foot leach line and 36"x 25-foot deep seepage pit. It appears that the
structure associated with this permit has been demolished without any record indicating that
the septic tank was properly destroyed.
Open, pump, and backfill the septic tank, seepage pit or excavation under permit and
inspection by the Environmental Health Department(San Joaquin County Development Title
Section 9-1110.3 & 9-1110.4).
nsx:u
