Soil Borings On March 17, 2010, North American Technical Services (NATS) of Modesto CA, excavated one shallow and one deep soil boring on the Site for the purpose of conducting percolation tests. The borings were six inches in diameter and were 3.3 and 11.4 feet deep. On June 14, 2010, David Welch of Live Oak excavated one shallow soil boring near the previous borings to confirm the soil properties reported by NATS. The boring locations are indicated on Plate 2. The soil in the borings was within the range of what would be anticipated based on the Soil Survey data reviewed; a hardpan layer was observed from 1.2 to 2.2 feet below ground surface, The log for the soil borings is presented in Plate 9.
