t
File # P4-1000031 February 18, 2010
San Joaquin County Community De% ment Dep r rnent,
We are requesting a pe rit-for pr cess.i_ng--fr- sh vegetables. Our
purpose is to take fresh vegetables we have grown on our farm and
make them more convenient for the public, then package for shipment.
We will start with providing fresh sweet corn kernals as well as peeled
and sliced winter squash.
The proposed project would start with one 30 x 60 building that
will be used for Fresh-Cut Processing. It will be built as soon as permit
is approved. Our goal is to start processing product by July 1St'when
our crop is ready. The second phase of this project is another 30 x 60
building to be used for the same purpose as the business grows. We
would build the second building as needed, within 5 years.
Allsolid waste will_bewcomposted and made into fertilizer one half
-
mile north of the proposed building. All waste water will be pumped
back into our fields and used for irrigating. All surface areas around this
proposed building have been graded to run off into a drain ditch about
one quarter mile west of this project.
Thank you for your consideration,
I
Dan R. Costa
