F. Analysis of chemical, physical, radiological and
biological characteristics, including temperature, pH,
density and corrosiveness.
Paragraph D of this section describes the chemical
constituents of the water. Average total dissolved
solids in waste water is 6, 655 ppm, to a maximum of 9,845
ppm. The water contains no radioactive substance nor
biochemical compounds added to waste stream.
Formation temperature is 1200 to 1240F based on the
Walter Duncan, Libby-Owens-Ford #1-35 well .
Water density is estimated to be with a pH range of 8 . 5
to 7 . 0. No corrosive agents are contained in the
injectate.
G. Compatibility of waste stream with receiving formation.
Quartz is the predominate mineral of the injection zone
and is not reactive with the type of waste stream to be
injected. The injectate is also lower in total dissolved
solids (6, 655 ppm) than the injection zone formation
water (10, 200 ppm) .
