Participation in the SJMSCP satisfies requirements of both the
state and federal endangered species acts, and ensures that the impacts are mitigated below a
level of significance in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act(CEQA).
Although participation in the SJMSCP is voluntary, lead agents should be aware that if project
applicants choose against participating in the SJMSCP, they will be required to provide
alternative mitigation in an amount and kind equal to that provided in the SJMSCP.
SJCOG, Inc. has reviewed application PA-3000666 (UP). This project involves a creating 8,600
square foot classroom and a 12,900 square foot worship hall to be built in two phases. The
project is located east of Lower Sacramento and south of Harney Lane; southwest of Lodi.
This project will require the conversion of Row and Field Crops (unditched) and as such should
condition the project applicant(s) to participate in the SJMSCP.
If you have any questions, please give me a call at (209) 468-3913.
