The applicant has submitted the above referenced Use Permit application to establish the Farooqia Islamic Center in two phases. Phase one, to be completed within'1$ months, will consist of a 2,400 square foot temporary tent structure to be used for worshipping and fundraising purposes and a 8,600 square foot classroom building. The proposed school will be for grades K-4 and approximately 50 students will be enrolled. Phase two, to be built within 36 months of approval, will include a 12,900 square foot worship hall for up to 400 worshippers. The tent structure, existing houses and bams will be removed during phase two. (Use Type: Education Services-General and Religious Assembly-Neighborhood) i The project site is located on the east side of Lower Sacramento Road 1950 feet south of Harney Lane, southwest of Lodi. The Community Development Department has reviewed the proposed project and identified the following issues: Traffic Study The Department of Public Works is requiting that a traffic study be performed: The traffic,study will need to be completed before the initial study can be completed. The time required to prepare the Traffic Study will delay the date the project can be heard before the Planning Commission. Site Plan The Site Plan dated December 18, 2003 only shows the project area. The Site Plan will need to be revised to show the entire parcel, including the project area, and all existing structures. A revised Site Plan needs to be submitted to the Community Development Department before the Staff Report can be prepared. 1
