CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> In summary, the soil conditions in the percolation test locations appear to be suitable for <br /> use with on-site septic systems. A satisfactory soil percolation rate was observed in <br /> each of the test locations (Table 2). <br /> The depth of ground water based on recent aquifer levels is estimated to range between <br /> 35 to 40 feet below ground surface. The ground-water flow is to the northeast in the <br /> vicinity of the Site; the rate could not be calculated. <br /> A water sample was collected from the domestic water well. Nitrate was detected at a <br /> concentration of 0.4 mg/L-NO3 in the water sample, below the US EPA's Maximum <br /> Contaminant Level (MCL) of 45 mg/L.
