We are opposed to the one-ace minimum lot size. We believe that the two acre <br /> minimum lot sizes in the surrounding area should be maintained on this parcel for <br /> many of the following reasons. <br /> 2. Water for household and landscape watering. We believe that excessive <br /> pumping for a project of this size in the neighborhood could cause a drop in the <br /> water table, entailing considerable expense to surrounding property owners for <br /> deeper wells. <br /> 3. Understanding that a traffic study will be undertaken, we believe that the Lower <br /> Sacramento Road entrance to the development should be deleted and instead, <br /> another entrance near the northeast property boundary on Liberty Road <br /> substituted. <br /> 4. In addition to (3) above we believe that Liberty Road should be widened and <br /> improved to encourage use of Liberty Road. <br /> 5. We believe that a project of this size will adversely affect the education of <br /> children in already overcrowded and troubled Galt Joint Unified School District. <br /> (A one-year old school in Galt already is using portable classrooms.) <br /> We, the neighbors of the Gudel Family Farm development urge the Planning <br /> Commission to consider and implement these suggestions. <br /> Thank you, Donald G.
