With close access <br /> to Highway 99 and the city of Galt, several golf courses within minutes,and an <br /> interesting mix of farms and family residential development near,this will be a wondeirfW <br /> location to live, and an efficient use of the land. <br /> Upon review of the subdivision map provided,I have concerns regarding the <br /> configuration and placement of roads and the location of the entrances and exits. <br /> Following the major subdivision pre-application meeting between county officials and <br /> the Ventana Development Co. March 24, 2004, San Joaquin County Public Works made <br /> the following recommendations: <br /> Conditions of Approval shall apply <br /> RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> 5,Residential lots shall have access rights to Lower Sacramento Road and Liberty <br /> Road restricted. <br /> 6. Secondary access shall be provided for this subdivision. <br /> 7. Subdivision road design and configuration shall provide for future access to <br /> adjacent undeveloped parcels to facilitate circulation development. <br /> I support San Joaquin counties' recommendations. This proposed Major Subdivision <br /> map does not conform to these Conditions of Approval. Secondly,the placement of the <br /> exit/entrance on Liberty Rd.near the intersection with Lower Sacramento is a poor <br /> alternative, in my opinion. Restricted sight lines and the gain in elevation of Liberty <br /> Road so near the intersection will create an unsafe traffic condition. I offer this opinion <br /> based on living on this property for over 20 years. <br />
