Kloberdanz & Associates <br /> conducted a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) of the Property listed above <br /> Fi (see maps in Appendix A for approximate Areas of study). The purpose of this Phase I <br /> ESA was to identify, to the extent feasible, pursuant to the job's processes and time <br /> limitations, "Recognized Environmental Condition(s)" in connection with the Property, <br /> thereby assisting the Client in discovery of possible past or present sources of <br /> environmental contamination along with the identification cahon of the potential for <br /> environmental impairments from hazardous wastes and/or petroleum products at this site, <br /> 1 <br /> or environmental degradation of immediately adjacent properties that could cause, or <br /> have caused, such environmental liabilities or other related concerns to the Subject <br /> Property. <br /> F <br /> *The term recognized environmental conditions means the presence or likely presence of any hazardous substances or <br /> E petroleum products on a property under conditions that indicate an existing release,a past release,or a material threat <br /> of a release of any hazardous substances or petroleum products into structures on the Property or into the ground, <br /> Fr <br /> ground water, or surface water of the Property. The term includes hazardous substances or petroleum products even <br /> under conditions in compliance with laws.The term is not intended to include de minimis conditions that generally do <br /> not present a material risk of harm to public health or the environment and that generally would not be the subject of an <br /> enforcement action if brought to the attention of appropriate governmental agencies. Conditions determined to be de <br /> ri minimis are not recognized environmental conditions. <br /> The investigation summarized in the following report was conducted using that level of <br /> F skill and care as would be used by a competent professional in the industry for a similar <br /> project and under similar circumstances and conforms to the guidelines as set forth in <br /> ASTM Standard 1527-00. <br /> 1.1 Scope-of-Work & Special Terms and Conditions Appendix D <br /> Towards this a series of investigative tasks was used, as applicable and available within <br /> the scope of this project.
