ALPINE PACKING COMPANY,INC.
WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY
SAN JOAQUIN COUN'T'Y
Groundwater monitoring wells were installed at the site in 2001. Based on a single monitoring
event, groundwater downgradient of the land application area contains elevated concentrations of
dissolved solids. This Order requires installation of additional wells, an evaluation of
groundwater quality, and if requested by the Executive Officer, a Mitigation Plan to address
groundwater degradation.
This Order requires a Salinity Reduction Report, which shall characterize all wastewater flows,
identify means to reduce dissolved solids concentrations, and determine if more environmentally
acceptable chemical compounds exist. These waste discharge requirements contain hydraulic,
organic, and nutrient loading limits for the land application areas, and a time schedule for
preparation of an Operation and Maintenance Plan.
CTrojec[Fd \Sims\Mpirie Pa kingl[NFO.doc
