Training must be renewed every 3 years and recorded on the Fumigation Management Plan prior to fumigant use. A Private Applicator Certificate does NOT meet this requirement and must complete the registrant training prior to fumigant use. 4. Fumigant Safe Handling Information Fumigant Safe Handling Information is required for all handlers involved in fumigation, in a manner that the handler can understand, and must be renewed every 12 months. Safe handling information includes: respiratory protection, signs and symptoms of exposure and emergency preparedness. The Certified Applicator must confirm handlers have received the Fumigant Safe Handling Information. Fumigant Safe Handling Information can be found where the fumigant product is purchased or at www2.epa.gov/soil-fumigants/safety-information-fumigant-handlers. 5. Fumigant Management Plan (FMP)
