t ' SAN JQAQUIN COUNTY CONDITION Y 1,3-DICHLOROPROPENE ' 1. NOI must be submitted 48 hours prior to the start of the application. ' 2. An application cannot exceed the maximum application rate of 3321b ai/acre. 3. The use of 1,3-D in greenhouses is prohibited. ' 4. The permittee shall provide a valid recommendation to the CAC that has been approved by the registrant before the CAC may accept the NOI and allow the application. ' 5. Application is prohibited within 100 feet of any occupied structure,measured from the perimeter of the application block to any occupied residences, occupied onsite employee housing, schools,convalescent homes,hospitals,or other similar sites identified by the ' Commissioner. Any structures within 100' must be vacated at all times during the application and during the 7 consecutive day period after application is complete. This restriction even applies on soils that have not experienced a 1,3-D treatment in the previous two years. ' 6. Entry into the application block by any person, other than a government official or a properly trained and equipped handler performing a handling task permitted by label,is prohibited from ' the start of the application until seven(7) days after the application is complete. This prohibition applies to all applications,including all tarp types and untaiped applications. 7. Tarps that do not meet the requirements for any percentage reduction in buffer zone distance ' may be perforated and/or removed according to fumigant labeling directions. 8. Tarps that meet the requirements for any percentage reduction in buffer zone distance ' mentioned on 1,3-D/Chloropicrin labels must not be perforated until a minimum of nine (9) days (216 hours)have elapsed after the application is complete and must not be removed until a minimum of one day(24 hours)after perforation, unless a weather condition exists that necessitates early tarp perforation or removal as specified by the fumigant label. 9. All applications are prohibited during December. ' 10.In San Joaquin County,4 methods are prohibited from May 1 —October 31: Nontarpaulin/ShallowBroadcast or Bed(1201),Taipaulin/Shallow/Broadcast(1202), ' Tarpaulin/Shallow/Bed(1203),Tarpaulin/Shallow/Bed-with tarp eligible for 60%credit(1243) 11. 1,3-D products containing Chloropicrin are subject to the Chloropicrin permit conditions.
