E05176A
LALI Regional Water Quality Control Board
NOA reviewed the Leaking Underground Storage Tanks (LUST) list Qanuary 2006), the Water Purveyors 62
L ,Quarterly Report on MTBE Qanuary 2006),and the Spills,Leaks,Investigations, and Cleanups(SLIC)list(I"
Quarter 2005) on file with the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)5 in
an attempt to determine if there are any files present at that agency which note the unauthorized release
I of a toxic or hazardous agent into the environment on the subject property or within a one-quarter mile
Lradius of the subject property. The subject property was not listed on any of these databases. Several ,
addresses within one-quarter mile of the subject property were found. ( % -3 3
LThe subject property was not listed on any of these databases. No addresses were found on the SLIC (y t)
V list within one-quarter mile of the subject property.
L The LUST and MTBE lists revealed the following sites within one-quarter mile:
L Largins Service 2235 Cherokee Rd.
Waterloo liquors 2512 Waterloo Rd.
E-Z Serve#100966 2537 Waterloo Rd. (" S
L Arroyo's Smog Shop 3012 Waterloo Rd.
Commercial Property 3012 Waterloo Rd.
Waterloo Food& Fuel 3032 Waterloo Rd.
LBeacon #27 (Cardlock 610) 3300 Waterloo Rd.
According to information obtained from the State Water Resources Control Board's GeoTracker web
site,the leaking underground storage tank(UST)cases at Largins Service,Wateroo Liquors,Commercial e(. c)
Property, and Beacon #27 are closed. Due to the level of agency oversite at these facilities, the
environmental risk associated with these facilities to the subject property is minimal.
LAccording to information reviewed on GeoTracker,Waterloo Food&Fuel is located approximately
one-eighth of a mile east of the subject property. The QuarkryGromndwazerMonitoringa Report, Second
j Quarter 2005,prepared by Advanced GeoEnvironmental Inc. and dated August 22,2005 was the most
recent report available.Based on the report, there are six hydrological units being monitored at the site.
The Report concludes that the vertical extent of impacted ground water at the western and southern
edge of the site are defined and the vertical extent of impacted ground water at the former UST area
has not been defined, extending beyond the total depth of well MW-7E. The lateral extent of shallow,
impacted ground water towards the west and southwest,down-gradient of the UST area, has not been
defined. Based on the distance from this facility to the subject property, the groundwater flow direction /
L and the lateral definition of the plume, the environmental risk associated with this facility to the subject (
property is minimal.
L
L 'California Regional Water Quality Control Board,Sacramento,w .swrcbxa.gov.
5
L --44
L
