MOOr. BIOLOGICAL CONSLTANTS
January 19,2000
Mr.Vincent Estell and Landmark Lathrop Group
c/o Triple "E" Engineering and Survey Company
15810 S. Harlan Road
Lathrop, CA.95330
Subject: BIOLOGICAL RESOURCES SURVEY AND ASSESSMENT FOR THE LANDMARK
LATHROP GROUP GOLF COURSE SITE
Dear Mr. Estell:
Thank you for asking Moore Biological Consultants to assist the Lathrop Landmark Group
with the subject project. This letter provides a summary of our survey methods and
results and also includes recommendations for preconstrucfion surveys for a couple of
species. As we have discussed, there are usually very few biological issues associated
with developed orchards, this is indeed the case for the subject site.
Introduction
This baseline biology survey and assessment was conducted to provide a description
of biological resources and habitats on and adjacent to the project site, with a focus on
identifying any development-limiting resources such as wetlands, sensitive species, or
the habitat of sensitive species.
A field survey was conducted on January 14, 2000. The field survey involved walking and
driving around the site making observations regarding general biological resources and
conducting focused searches for potential habitat of sensitive species, including
Swainson's hawk (Buteo swainsoni)and burrowing owl (Achene cunicuiaria).
1300 W.
