18 . Estimate quantity (gallons per day) and quality of
water required by the proposed operation, specifying proposed
sources of this water ; method of its conveyance to the site ;
quantity and quality of used and/or surplus water ; and
disposal of used and/or surplus water :
Approximately 160, 000 gallons per day of make-up will be
required per day to replace that which is captured in the
settled clays and silts and that which remains in the wet sand
stockpile . This water will be extracted from the active mining
pit or will be bled from the dewatering perimeter wells .
19 . If the nature of the deposit and the mining method
will be phased , describe and show the steps or phases of the
mining operation that allow concurrent reclamation . Include
a proposed time schedule for such concurrent activities :
The project will not be phased other than a mining and
screening operation and a recovery from stockpiles and shipping
operation . It might require more time to ship the mined
materials . In such an event , the mining excavation will
receive the additional construction efforts toward the
completion of the aqua range prior to the depletion of the
stockpiles and reclamation of the stockpile sites .
20 . Describe the ultimate physical condition of the site
and specify proposed use (s) or potential uses of the mined
lands once reclaimed :
The post-mining use of the land is to be the development of a
golf course and recreational complex subject to the provisions
of a conditional use permit required for such a use (and
included in the overall Use Permit Application) . Remaining
mineral reserves will be preserved under the recreational
facility . Such use is compatible with the zoning and General
Plan designation , and with the Mineral Resources overlay as
provided for in the Surface Mining and Reclamation Act .
Landmark Lathrop Group, LLC
6 - February 3 , 2000
