Gau
Senior Civil Engineer
Development Service
Engineering Divisi
SUBJECT: SITE APPROVAL APPLICATION NO. SA-95-47 OF
TERRY REMITZ
-----------------------------------------------------------------
This item is continued from the April 4th Planning Commission
hearing with the hearing open. The reason for the continuance
was that the Pescadero Reclamation District No. 2058 had not
received a referral for the application. Also, the Planning
Commission Agricultural Subcommittee met on April 18th to review
the Development Title provisions for allowing Farm Machinery-
Sales and Repair in agricultural zones.
The Agricultural Subcommittee recommends that Development Title
Section 9-605. 5 (h) (1) be deleted which required that the use be
established on an existing parcel that is five acres or less.
The committee also recommended that Development Title Section 9-
605 . 5 (h) (2) be modified to require that the Farm Machinery-Sales
and Repair use type be established on a road that has a
classification of collector or higher, as opposed to being
located on a road that has a general plan designation of minor
arterial or higher. The Remitz application is located on
Paradise Road which is a minor road, and would not meet the
criteria being recommended by the Agricultural Subcommittee for a
Development Title Text Amendment.
Attached for your information is the letter from the Pescadero
Reclamation District No. 2058 . In summary, the letter states
that any crossing of the drainage canals along the east side of
Paradise Road would have to be approved by the Pescadero
Reclamation District and meet their standards.
TMG. ss
SA95-47 .MEM
Attachment
