PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF INVESTIGATION
This report presents the results of our geotechnical investigation of the site. A site location
map is shown on Figure L
The purpose of this study was to gather information regarding the subsurface soil conditions
and to determine their suitability for the proposed construction.
The scope of our geotechnical investigation consisted of a surface reconnaissance, subsurface
exploration, obtaining representative samples, laboratory testing and analysis of the field and
laboratory data.
Specifically, the intent of this study was to:
a) Explore the subsurface conditions using two borings which were 15.5 and 24.0
feet deep .
b) Recover relatively undisturbed brass liner samples and disturbed bag and bulk
samples to evaluate the pertinent engineering properties of the surface and
subsurface strata including their allowable bearing capacities.
c) Define the general geology at the site including.possible geologic hazards
which could have an effect on the site development.
d) Recommend a foundation system for the type Qf structures anticipated and
developed soil engineering design criteria for the recommended foundation
system.
e) Present Percolation Test Data
f) Present our opinions in a report which will include plot plan, exploration logs,
summary of laboratory test results, and conclusions and recommendations.
PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION
It is our understanding that it is proposed to construct a new Winery with several Buildings,
including Bathrooms with septic tank and leach field, at the site.
SITE DESCRIPTION
The site is located south of Peltietr Road, adjacent to the Railroad Tracks,in the Lodi Area of
San Joaquin County ( See Figure 1)
(1)
iE
