GROUND WATER CONTAMINATION IN THE AREA OF THE SITE
The immediately adjacent and outlying land use for the parcel is agricultural in nature.
There are potential ground water contamination issues associated with agricultural uses
and local septic systems. A review of the California Department of Toxics and
Substance Control (DTSC) Envirostor Database and the Geotracker Web site revealed
two leaking fuel underground storage tank (LUST) site within a one-mile radius of the
site. The site has been closed for more than 10 years and is located more than one-mile
from the subject parcel.
4.3. ON-SITE EXISTING WELL DESCRIPTION
The existing water supply well was installed or retrofitted in March 1990 with a six-inch
casing. The grout seal was installed from the surface to approximately 85 feet bsg. The
well will be utilized for both domestic purposes. An existing well is used for agricultural
purposes or irrigation.
4.4. Groundwater sample containers were properly
labeled, placed in a chilled container and transported under chain-of-custody protocols
to Cal Tech Environmental Laboratories (CTEL), a California Department of Public
Health-certified laboratory, for analysis (Nitrate (NO3) and dibromochloropropane
(DBCP) constituents).
4.6. GROUND WATER ANALYTICAL REPORT
CTEL laboratory reports with quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reports and
chain-of-custody forms, will be supplied.
Advanced GeoEnviron mental,Inc.
