PROPOSED MAXIMUM SEPTIC TANK USAGE ON SITE
The current single family structure is listed as a three (3) bedroom home and has a
separate septic system that will be altered from the current configuration. The septic
system and leach field is planned to be connected along the northern border of the
garage structure to the east of the winery or another septic system will be installed to
meet the requirements of the change in use to commercial. The current septic system
would be enhanced to include an additional 1,200 gallons of liquid waste storage
capacity and 230 feet of equivalent leach capacity or septic pits. The current plans call
for the re-construction of an old garage - storage building to encompass a tasting room
and operations area for the winery. The remodeled building is to have one bathroom
(sink and toilet) to accommodate the employees and potential visitors. Waste products
related to the production of wine will not be disposed of through the septic system.
Customers will be within the tasting area an estimated 25 hours per week operating
schedule. The estimated rate of visitors per day is 5 to 10 people. The reasonable or
maximum usage of the one bathroom facility by any customer is 50 percent.
