Soil Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study 1 rerr�con <br /> Avanti Nut Co. ■ Stockton, CA <br /> May 19, 2016 ■Terracon Project No. NA167038 <br /> Agricultural activities, industrial activities, and the use of septic systems in the area should be <br /> considered potential groundwater contamination sources. The concerns for groundwater <br /> contamination in this area are deemed moderate due to the depths involved. <br /> 1.4.3 Water Sample Location <br /> Based on a review of permits provided by EHD for the site, there appears to be one water well <br /> I located at the address of 9870 N. Pezzi Road and and one water well located at the address of <br /> 9982 N. Pezzi Road. As groundwater is a potential drinking water source, groundwater data <br /> provided by Mr. Katzakian, was reviewed for Well #1 located nearest the site's proposed new <br /> ' building and restroom addition. <br /> 1 1.4.4 Ground Water Sample Analysis <br /> Based on a review of laboratory data provided by Mr. Katzakian, on March 31, 2016, one water <br /> sample was collected from Well #1 and analyzed by FGL Environmental Agricultural Analytical <br /> Chemists (FGL). The FGL report indicated the sample arrived on ice and was received, prepared <br /> and analyzed within the method specified holding times. The report indicated the sample was <br /> analyzed for various properties and/or constituents including DCBP, EDB, and Nitrate. A copy of <br /> the chain of custody and lab report from FGL has been included in Appendix E. <br /> Sample results are displayed in the following table: <br /> 1 DBCP* (pg/L) EDB* (Ng/L) Nitrate as N**(mg/L) <br /> MCL= 0.2 _g/L MCL= 0.05 pg/L MCL= 10 mg/L <br /> Water Sample 1 ND ND ND <br /> Bold Detected above EPA maximum contaminant level(MCL) <br /> ND Not detected at the laboratory reporting limit. <br /> X Not analyzed for this constituent. <br /> "EPA method 504 <br /> "'EPA method 300 <br /> 1.5 Soil Profile and Geologic Information <br /> ' The site is depicted on the Geologic Maps of the San Francisco-San Jose Quadrangle, California, <br /> as within the alluvium of the Modesto Formation'. These Pleistocene soils consist primarily silty <br /> clay soils (Plate 5). <br /> The surface and near surface soils located at the site are reported by the United States <br /> Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Web Soil <br /> ' California Division of Mines and Geology.
