08/01/01 WED 18:18 FAX PHS/EHD Z004
KLEINFELDER
File No. 20-3044-01
June 30, 1992
We note that our scope of services did not include a detailed
evaluation of the potential for the septic systems to affect
the quality of groundwater and, per our discussion with
County personnel, a detailed evaluation is not required. The
project involves constructing twenty-three new septic systems
on the approximate 27-acre property. In addition, the
residences will be connected to the city water system. '
Therefore, with groundwater at a depth of approximately 80
feet, in our opinion the likelihood of a significant change
in the nitrate level of the groundwater beneath the site
because of the additional systems is remote. If additional, \_
more-concentrated development using domestic wells is planned
in the area, we suggest that consideration be given to
completing a nitrate loading study.
This completes our Scope o1 worx at thl.2 line. Baa a on the above
information, it is our opinion that the proposed subdivision is
suitable for septic system use. The septic systems should be
located and constructed following County requirements and the
recommendations presented in thio report. Continuous monitoring of
the septic systems should be maintained throughout the duration of
their use. Once this report is reviewed by Environmental Health
services, we would be pleased to furnish a proposal for providing
whatever additional information they may require for their
evaluation.
We trust this report presents the information required at -this
time. If you have any questions regarding this report and the
attached information, pleaoc aontaot ue.
Respectfully submitted,
RLEINFELDER, INC.
Steven R.
