Jul ; 8 2005 12 : 53PM CA- DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION No 3954 P. ,3
Mr. Griffin
July 8, 2005
Page 2
i
• The Department requests that all proposed building structures beset back from the
roadway edge to accommodate the need for future interchange improvements.
• All lighting (including;reflected sunlight) within the future project should be placed
and/or shielded so as not to be hazardous to vehicles traveling on SR-99.
• If applicable, any sign advertising a business not"on premise"will require an Outdoor
Advertising Display Permit. information on outdoor advertising may be obtained by
contacting Susan Sweu`sson of Caltrans Right of Way at 948-7869.
• Any proposed future development may not create a major impact on SR-99 when
considered by itself. However, when combined with the cumulative impacts of other
existing and proposed development in this area, the resulting trafTic will contribute to
the significant congestion foxecastcd to the SR-99 mainline and at the intersection of
SR-99/Armstrong Road. Therefore, the Department recommends the collection of
impact fees on a "Fair Share" basis for future improvements to thesc facilities.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss our comments in more detail, please
contact Dan Brewer at (209) 948-7142 (e-Wail: dan•brewera dot.ca. ov or me at(209)
941-1921.
Sincerely,
TO LIMAS, chief
Office of Intermodal Planning
i
"Caltrans improves+nobility arross California"
