Identified Contamination Source Evaluation
13. Victor Meats, 18846 N. Highway Because the extent of contamination
99, is located adjacent to east of from Victor Meats could not be
subject Site. GeoTracker lists this determined during this investigation,
facility as a closed LUST case, an it is unknown whether this facility
open land disposal case, and a could have impacted groundwater
registered UST facility. In 2005, beneath the subject Site.
the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
stated that no further action was
required related to the leaking tank
case. However, a "land disposal
site" case remains open in
GeoTracker. It appears that
additional contamination is present
at this facility in the form of a plume
of salt in the groundwater. A 2010
letter from the Regional Board
indicated that the "salt plume has
migrated beyond the furthest
perimeter well MW-2" and that the
required monitoring reports have
not been submitted recently. Live
Oak could not identify a map of the
monitoring well locations. (Current
off-site)
14. California Concentrate Co., 18678 Because no groundwater test data
N. Highway 99, is located were available, it is unknown
approximately 500 feet southeast whether this facility could have
of Site. Based on the records impacted groundwater beneath the
reviewed, it appears that this facility subject Site.
processes grapes and other natural
products; wastewater is discharged
into ponds at the rear of the facility.
In 2001 or earlier, the Regional
Board required the facility to
monitor its groundwater for nitrate,
total dissolved solids, volatile
dissolved solids, pH, and standard
minerals. No testing results were
available in the file. (Current off-
site)
LOGE 1416 11
