HIGHWAY 99
ACAMPO, CALIFORNIA
OUR JOB NUMBER: 599307
I. INTRODUCTION
Our office was retained by Mr. Pat Meeks to conduct a Soil Suitability/Nitrate Loading
Study for a 1 acre property located at 25335 N. Highway 99, Acampo, California(Plate 1).
The Soil Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study was conducted to determine if the area is
suitable for a new septic system and was performed according to the requirements of Section 9-
1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development. Major elements of the field work included
one exploratory soil boring, one in-situ percolation test, and one groundwater nitrate and DBCP
test. An examination of the field work results, nitrate loading analysis, review of published soil
information, geologic maps, and available ground water information was used to evaluate the
suitability of soils and the potential impact of the septic system to the ground water. This report
- presents the results of our study.
H. PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT
The property is located on the east side of Highway 99 and south of Collier Road in
Acampo, California- The planned use for the site is to establish a new RV sales center that will
reuse the existing building and water well. Some paving will be placed on the site for
Recreational Vehicle parking. We understand that a new septic system is required by the county.
III. PRESENT AND PAST USE OF THE SITE
An interview with Mr. Pat Meeks of Meeks RV was conducted to determine the history of
the site and general septic conditions of the area. The site was originally a gas station thought to
operate in the 1970's and possibly into the early 1980's. Mr. Veer Singh owned the property since
