Other requirements may also apply. These
requirements cannot be modified.
A. The Environmental Health Department requires a soil suitability study incorporating
proposed staff and customer use, indicating that the area is suitable for septic tank
usage. This must be performed prior to issuance of a building permit(s) (San Joaquin
County Development Title, Section 9-1105.2(d)). A review fee of$186.00 must be
paid at time of submittal to the Environmental Health Department.
The sewage disposal system shall comply with the on site sewage standards of San
Joaquin County prior to approval. A percolation test that meets absorption rates of
the manual of septic tank practice or E.P.A. Design Manual for onsite wastewater
treatment and disposal system is required for each parcel. A permit fee of$93.00 per
percolation hole is required.
B. State on revised site plans the maximum number of employees and customers the
sewage disposal system is being designed for. In addition, show on revised plans that
the leach field area will be barricaded so it cannot be driven over, parked on, or used
as a storage area. This leach field area must be used for that specific purpose only,
and it cannot contain any underground utility lines (San Joaquin County Development
Title, Section 9-1110.4(c)(5)). In addition, the revised site plan shall incorporate the
100% designed sewage disposal replacement area.
NOTE: The proposed sewage disposal area will not meet the San Joaquin County
Sewage Standards because of being too close to the neighboring wells across
the street.
C. Construction of individual sewage-disposal-system(s) under permit and inspection by
the Environmental Health Department is required at the time of development based
on the Soil Suitability findings (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-
1110.3 & 9-1110.4).
