Soil ruitability Study—APN: 005 - 141 —29—PA-03587
Parcel No. 1, Approximately 2.0 Acres Total
Applications should be regulated so that water does not stand on the surface and
damage the crops. Where feasible, deep ripping of claypan and hardpan layers can
overcome these restricted areas.
The characteristics of this soil encountered at various depths below the ground
surface are as follows:
SAN JOAQUIN—URBAN LAND COMPLEX, 0 TO 2 PERCENT SLOPES
Depth Liquid Plasticity Percent Permeability Shrink-
In Inches Material Limit Index Clay (Inches/Hour) Swell
0"- 16" Loam 15-30 NP- 10 15 - 25 0.6-2.0 Low
16" - 26" Clay Loam, 40- 50 25 - 35 35 -50 <0.06 High
Clay
26"—60" Indurated -------- -------- ------- ----------- ------
6.0 Well Water Analysis: There is a well on the subject property but electrical
connections have been disconnected and, at this time, there is no electrical energy to
operate the pump to obtain a water sample to test the well water for
Dibromochloropropane(DBCP)and Nitrate(NO3)concentrations.
7.0 Possible Nitrate and DBCP Pollution: No animals were seen on the subject property
so there does not appear to be any undue nitrate concentrations because of an
overpopulation of animals.
Maps entitled"DBCP and Nitrate—Land Use"available in the Environmental
Health Department's office were consulted and contained the following chemical
concentrations information in the area of the subject property:
The subject property is in an area where no Dibromochloropropane(DBCP)
concentrations have been detected.
The subject property is also in an area known to contain 21 to 44 parts per million
Nitrate concentrations.
7.0 Past Septic Systems Installation Study: Existing San Joaquin County records of
septic system permits in the immediate area of the subject property were reviewed. A
total of ten (10) septic permits were reviewed. Five (5) of the permits reviewed were
permits for initial, new septic systems. Three (3) of the permits reviewed were adding to
the existing system and the remaining two (2)permits were for repairing the existing in-
place septic system.
No septic permits were found for the subject property. .
All of the permits reviewed specified pit septic systems and were constructed
between June 12, 1974 and September 26, 2002.
For MatriScope Inc.-25655 North State Highway Rte 99,West Frontage Road,Acampo, CA 95220 6
