No permits were
found during file review at EHD on April 20, 2006.
L 4.4 Water Sample Constituents
14 No wells exist on the property. No well water sample was taken.
L5.0 SOIL PROFILE AND GEOLOGIC INFORMATION
The Site is depicted on the California Geological Survey Geologic Map of Cenozoic Deposits of the San
Francisco-San Jose Quadrangle(199 1) as within the Quarternary Modesto Formation. The Modesto
Formation consists of Arkosic alluviurn forming Mokelumne River terraces and alluvial fan;chiefly
sand with minor gravel and silt;probably glacial outwash (Plate 7).
The surface and near surface soils located at the Site are reported by the San Joaquin County Soil Sume.y
to be composed of Jacktone-Urban land Complex,0-2% slopes (Plate 8) (USDA, 1992). Table 3
presents some selected properties of these soils:
Table 3.
San Joaquin County Soil Survey
Selected Soil Properties of On-Site Soils.
Soil Name Depth Unified Soil Classification Salinity Soil Perme- Septic tank
and Map (in) mmhos/cm Reaction ability absorption
Symbol pH (in/hr) fields
Jacktone,0- 0-22 Clay,CL,CH <2 6.6-8.4 .06-.2 Severe:
2%slopes, 22-34 Clay loam,clay,silty clay,CL- <2 7.9-9.0 .06-.2 cemented
181 CH pan,peres
3437 Indurated -- --- --- slowly
37-46 Loam,day loam,CL-ML,CL <2 7.9-9.0 .2-.6
46-60 1 Cemented I I --- I --
Note:The table descriptions do not necessarily reflect site-specific soil properties.
5.1 Soil Boring Locations
A total of 2 soil borings were advanced on the Site, one boring to a depth of approximately three
feet and one boring to a depth of around 25 feet. The soil boxings were used later for percolation
test holes; the locations of the borings are indicated in Plate 1.
i
L5.2 Soil Boring Dimensions
The soil borings were approximately three or 25 feet deep,as noted above, and were four inches in
5
L
