Chandler Martin March 28, 1995
SA-95-2 Page 2
The attached Synopsis highlights many of the requirements contained within
Regulation VIII. The Synopsis is not meant to be all inclusive, but it can be a useful
compliance aid in the field and office alike. Please refer to Regulation VIII for specific
requirements.
Energy Use Reduction-Energy use related to the project can be reduced by the
following measures:
• Energy efficient indoor and outdoor lighting (Exceeding Title 24 requirements)
• Light-colored roof materials to reflect heat.
• Building orientation to the north for natural cooling.
• Planting deciduous shade trees adjacent to air conditioned buildings.
• Energy efficient window treatments (shades, blinds, etc.)
The applicant should be aware that any equipment (gasoline dispensing equipment,
emergency generators, etc.) that have the potential to emit air pollutants may be
subject to permitting by the District. If there are any questions regarding operating
permits the applicant should contact the Permit Services section of this office.
Thank you for the opportunity to comment on this project.
Sincerely,
-Df"-"
David J. Stagnaro
Environmental Planner
Northern Region APCD REF#N950064
via fax
