SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY WASTE PLAN FORMAT FOR DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS <br /> 1. Waste Generation Analysis <br /> A. Discuss the types of solid and hazardous waste that will be produced. Include specific waste <br /> types (for example,No. 2 plastic, lawn clippings,glass,oil*,paint, antifreeze,tires). Include <br /> waste generated due to the maintenance of the facility as well as residential occupation. <br /> B. Estimate the annual quantities of solid and hazardous waste that will be produced, <br /> per waste type as identified in Section IA,above. <br /> H. Waste Diversion Analysis <br /> A. Discuss the processes and types of solid and hazardous waste that will be diverted <br /> from disposal through source reduction. (Source reduction processes reduce the <br /> amount of waste that is normally generated). <br /> B. Estimate the annual quantity of solid and hazardous waste that will be diverted <br /> through source reduction,per waste type identified in Section II,A above. <br /> C. Discuss the types of solid and hazardous waste that will be diverted from disposal <br /> through recycling(cardboard recycling, for example). <br /> D. Estimate the annual quantity of solid and hazardous waste that will be diverted <br /> through waste types, per waste type identified in Section II, C above. <br /> E. Discuss market availability for diverted materials. <br /> III. Waste Storage <br /> Discuss the methods that will be used to store solid,hazardous waste,and recyclables on site <br /> prior to collection for diversion or disposal. Include a discussion on the location of areas <br /> designated for collection and storage on the site plan,access to collection areas by residents, <br /> access to storage areas by collection vehicles,and types of collection/storage containers to <br /> be used. <br /> IV. Waste Collection <br /> Discuss the methods that will be used to collect and transport recyclable materials to market <br /> and solid and hazardous waste to disposal sites. Estimate frequency of onsite materials <br /> collection/disposal. <br /> V. Waste Disposal <br /> Identify the facilities to be used for disposal of solid and hazardous waste identified in I <br /> above. Discuss impact of increased waste quantities on disposal facilities. <br /> VI. Records <br /> Discuss the methods to be used to report to the County the annual quantities of waste <br /> diverted and/or disposed. <br />
