Pursuant to the State Aeronautics Act (Public Utilities Code Section 21676), the project <br /> is subject to a Consistency Determination by the San Joaquin County ALUC. <br /> LAND USE CONSISTENCY REVIEW <br /> This project includes a Site Approval application to allow for a truck parking facility for 48 <br /> trucks, an office, two maintenance buildings, and a wash and lube building. The project is located <br /> on the east side of SR99 East Frontage Rd.,north of Marfargoa, APN 179-172-48. <br /> The land uses proposed with the conversion are compatible with the 1993 ALUCP Zones for <br /> Stockton Metropolitan Airport. The following standards and project design conditions specific to <br /> compliance with the ALUCP which should be carried through as conditions of approval are as <br /> follows: <br /> 1. New land uses that may cause visual, electronic, or increased bird strike hazards to <br /> aircraft in flight shall not be permitted within any airport's influence area. Specific <br /> characteristics to be avoided include: <br /> o Glare or distracting lights which could be mistaken for airport lights. Reflective <br /> materials are not permitted to be used in structures or signs (excluding traffic <br /> directing signs); <br /> o Sources of dust, steam, or smoke which may impair pilot visibility; <br /> o Sources of electrical interference with aircraft communications or navigation. No <br /> transmissions which would interfere with aircraft radio communications or <br /> navigational signals are permitted. <br /> o Any proposed use, especially landfills and certain agricultural uses, that creates an <br /> increased attraction for large flocks of birds. <br />
