04
To: San Joaquin County Community
Development Department
From: Nancy Shephard
property owner
4447 Shippee Lane
4449 Shippee Lane
Re: APNIAddress 085-300-32
860E N. State Route 99 E. Frontage Rd.
Stockton
My properties border the above project site on the south and east sides.
I am writing in support of the use permit application to construct a religious facility on this site.
I would be delighted to welcome (perhaps?) a mosque and its attendees as my neighbors. ( At
least I am hoping for a little diversity—our neighborhood already has a substantial number of
Christian churches nearby.)
My only concern is the large trees situated directly behind my back fence (ie on the south side of
the proposed development). I have lived in my house for 40+ years and the squirrels and birds
and I are very fond of these tall trees, even though they are on the far side of my fence. 1 am
hoping perhaps the trees nearest my fence may actually be on my property ( I do not know if my
fence sits directly on the property line) or at least that the proposed surrounding concrete wall will
be far enough away from my fence to allow the trees to remain.
I look forward to being apprised of future developments in this proposal.
Sincerely,
Nancy Shephard
cc: Masjid Umar Farooq Stkn- Ca.
