Naglee Rd., Tracy January 11, 2024 <br /> operate a small public water system by the local primacy agency (EHD) is prohibited without the <br /> concurrence of the Water Board. Please contact Gena Farley with the SWRCB Division of Drinking <br /> Water at Gena.Farley@waterboards.ca.gov or 209-948-7488, concerning the requirements for <br /> preliminary technical report submittal prior to issuance of building permits. <br /> If the Water Board determines that an onsite well shall be used as the potable water source, a <br /> permit application to operate Small Public Water System shall be submitted to the EHD for <br /> approval prior to issuance of building permits. To issue a permit to operate, concurrence from the <br /> Water Board is required. A yearly permit to operate a public water system will be required by the <br /> EHD prior to sign off of the certificate of final occupancy (San Joaquin County Development Title, <br /> Section 9-602.010 and 9-601.030.). <br /> The supplier must possess adequate financial, managerial, and technical capability to assure <br /> delivery of pure, wholesome, and potable drinking water in accordance with San Joaquin County <br /> Development Title, Sections 9-602.010 and 9-601.030 and C.C.R., Title 22, and Health and Safety <br /> Code, Section 116525 116570. <br /> Note: The minimum setback from public water well to any septic tank and leach field is 150'. If the <br /> existing domestic well becomes a public water well then it shall meet minimum setback <br /> requirement from septic tank & leach field area. <br /> 5. The existing private water wells shall be tested for the chemical Dibromochloropropane (DBCP) <br /> and nitrates with the results submitted to the Environmental Health Department prior to issuance <br /> of building permit(s). Samples are to be taken and analyzed by a State-approved laboratory (San <br /> Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-601.0200)). <br /> 6. Construction of an individual domestic water well under permit and inspection by the Environmental <br /> Health Department is required at the time of development (San Joaquin County Development Title, <br /> Section 9-601.010 (b)). <br /> 7. Any existing wells or septic systems to be abandoned shall be destroyed under permit and <br /> inspection by the EHD (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-605.010 & 9-601.020) <br /> 8. Any geotechnical drilling shall be conducted under permit and inspection by The Environmental <br /> Health Department (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-601.010(b) and 9- <br /> 601.020(i)). <br /> 1868 E.
