One Completed Application for a Grading Building Permit. 2. Regular Grading (projects with earthwork less than 5,000 cubic yards)three complete sets of plans and specifications containing the following information. If the Building Official has cause to believe that geologic factors may be involved, the application must comply with the Engineered Grading requirements. (Note:all plans must be 18"x 24"minimum.) a. Site plan drawn to scale showing the location of the site,property lines,north arrow,easements and all existing and proposed development. The location of any buildings or structures on adjacent property within 15'of the grading site or that may be affected by the grading operation must be shown. b. A plan showing the relative contours of the existing round and details of terrain and area drainage. c. A plan showing the elevations,dimensions, location, extent and slopes of proposed grading using contours or other suitable means. d. A detailed plan showing all surface and subsurface drainage devices,walls,cribbing,dams and other protective devices to be constructed with,or as part of the proposed work. This plan must show the drainage area and the estimated runoff of the area served by any drains. e. A statement containing the following: • The quantity of excavation and fill. • That the project complies with the 2001 CBC, Chapters 18 and 33. • The specific intention or ultimate purpose for grading the property. • Information covering construction and material requirements(if required). • USGS datum if the project is within the 100- ear flood area. 3. Engineered Grading (projects with earthwork of 5,000 or more cubic yards)three complete sets of plans and specifications contamin the follow information: a. A Grading Plan with all the elements specified in the"GradinS Plan Format". b. A statement containing the following: • The quantity of excavation and fill. • That the project complies with the 1997 UBC, Chapters 18 and 33. • The specific intention or ultimate purpose for grading the property. • Information covering construction and material requirements(if required). • USGS datum if the pr2ject is within the 1 00- ear flood area. c.
