The principal findings are outlined throughout the body of this text and are <br /> summarized in the conclusion of this report. <br /> This report has been formatted to correspond to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department's Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report Requirement Checklist, dated July 14,2003. <br /> L 1.0 INTRODUCTION AND PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT <br /> 1.1 Description of Site <br /> The subject property is located at the far western end of Norman Avenue in Stockton,California. The <br /> property consists of a 0.360-acre parcel(APN 103-280-12) and a 4.460-acre parcel(APN 103-280-13), <br /> for a total of 4.820 acres. The parcels form a trapezoidal shape with its southeastern corner located at <br /> the end of Norman Avenue. No structures currently exist on the property,but the foundations of two <br /> structures are apparent in the southeastern corner. A former irrigation canal appears to cross the <br /> property. <br /> According to the San Joaquin County Community Development Department web site, the subject <br /> property is zoned R-R,rural residential. This zoning designation"is intended to provide for large lot <br /> rural homesites within or adjacent to existing Rural Communities. Lots will ... have sufficient area to <br /> allow for individual water supply, sewage disposal, and storm water drainage, but not to support <br /> significant commercial agriculture" (www.co.san-joaquin.ca.us,2004). <br /> Location maps of the subject property are attached to this report as Appendix A. Photographs of the <br /> subject property are attached to this report as Appendix B. <br /> 1.2 Proposed Development <br /> Mr.Fred Ingalls of Siegfried Engineering provided a preliminary parcel map showing the proposed lot <br /> division. According to the map,the property will be split into one 2.85-acre parcel and one 1.99-acre <br /> parcel (Plate 1).
