These drains are to catch
urine on the off chance that it spills into the walkways between the kennels. The
drains are also to catch the water used for the once-weekly deep cleaning of the
kennels. Regular every day cleaning will be done with mops/mop water and/or
towels and cleaning solutions for spot cleaning to minimize the amount of'wctste
water going into the septic .system.
All feline waste, both solid and liquid, will be contained in cat litter, bagged and
disposed of in a trash canldumpster.
The outside play yard.•for dogs will be gross and not concrete. Any solid waste
will be bagged and put into trash cans like before.
NO SOLID WASTE' WILL HE ROUTED INTO THE SEPTIC TANK
A daily, maximum estimate of•thirty (.30) gallons (by volume) of solid waste and
fourteen (14) gallons of liquid waste will he produced by the canine boarders.
That is assuming that the kennel is at capacity every day and that every dog
boarded is the size of a Labrador retriever. A more realistic amount of actual
waste produced per day would be less than that considering the fluctuating
number of animals as well as the differing sizes of those animals.
Describe the manure disposal method(s) and locations(s), such as on-site or off-site
land spreading, irrigation, etc.
There will be drains in front of all the indoor dog runs to rupture liquid waste
and drain it to rhe septic tank.
S01113 WASTE (REFUSE,GARBAGE AND DEAD ANIMAL) MANAGEMENT
Describe the type, number and capacity of refuse and garbage containers used by
the facility (cans, dumpsters, etc.) and the name of the person or refuse company
responsible for waste removal, frequency of removal and disposal location (transfer
station, landfill, etc.)
Waste will be put into two (2) 96-gallon garbage cans provided by Central Valley
Waste Sen4ce, INC. The disposal location for the company is a landfill.
Descrihe the projected number and frequency of animal deaths, and the storage and
disposal methods used for dead animals (licensed rendering plant, etc.)
There are no planned deaths of animals at this facility. If a death were to occur,
the body of the animal would be taken to a veterinary clinic to he properly stored
until the animul owner could claim the body.
FEEDING OPERATIONS
