Also attached is a copy of a water analysis performed August 5 , 1994 on an existing domestic
well located on the subject property. The results for the nitrate and DBCP levels were found to
be acceptable.
Within a radius of one-fourth (1/4) mile of the subject property, there are fifteen (15) existing
residences, including a house on the subject site. Within the past fifteen (15) years, there has
been one (1) known septic system failure within this area. Environmental Health Permit Number
88-139 was issued to a residence located at 390 South Fine Road on January 25, 1988 which
involved the addition of 90 feet of leach line. Recognizing that it is not unusual for leach
facilities to have a life expectancy of approximately fifteen (15) years, the above instance of
failure is not unreasonable.
It is the opinion of the undersigned that the soil conditions are suitable for the purpose of the
Subject Application, which is to create two (2) 2.2 acre sites and one (1) 2.74 acre site for
proposed residences and septic systems and leaving a 2.74 acre parcel for an existing residence
with an existing septic system.
In consideration of the fact that the subject minor subdivision application will provide for a
maximum of three (3) additional new septic tank systems, it is the opinion of the undersigned
that the subject application will not have an adverse cumulative effect on the quality of the
groundwater in the area. Our professional opinion is that the above findings and statements do
not constitute either an expressed or implied guarantee or warranty.
Very truly yours,
SIEGFRIED ENGINEERING, Inc.
r4_ ,
Robert G.
