Box 3191 JUN 13 2007 <br /> Modesto, CA 95353-3191 <br /> 521-9771 F579-9502 BASIC RESOURCES <br /> RE: Munn & Perkins Pond 1 /Plant Slurry Solids and Settled Tailings Density <br /> Dear Mr. Welch: <br /> In November2006 the Munn&Perkins tailings slurry was analyzed for Title 22 <br /> parameters. <br /> The CVRWQC staff subsequently requested a second tier of analysis on certain <br /> constituents of concern which exceeded WQL's in the Title 22 screening <br /> characterization. <br /> On May 2 a liquid sample was collected from the pervious sample point. The sample was <br /> delivered to Foothill Labs. The lab filtered the sample per CVRQCD instructions and <br /> completed the ten analysis requested by Mr. O'Brien. We received the lab report on June <br /> 8'' 2007. The slow turn around was due to a search for subcontractor labs which could <br /> meet the very low WQL's on a few of the constituents. <br /> The attached Table 1 shows the results of the original screening characterization. <br /> The attached Table 2 shows the results of the second tier requested by Mr. O'Brien <br /> The lab report for the new analysis is also attached. <br /> cerely, <br /> Don Deem RG, REA <br /> Environmental Services 0 P.O.
