STAFF REPORT m Information <br /> Application Information <br /> Owner: San Joaquin County <br /> Applicant: San Joaquin County Public Works Department <br /> Location: Benjamin Holt Drive(Gettysburg Place to Pacific Avenue) <br /> Staff: Mark Hopkins,Senior Planner(Department of Public Works) <br /> Project Description <br /> In recent years the traffic on this section of Benjamin Holt Drive and Pacific Avenue has been <br /> increasing, as well as, the accidents. Public Works Department retained a traffic consultant to <br /> analyze the traffic situation and make recommendations for improvements. The consultant has <br /> analyzed four alternatives solutions; the specific recommendations,to implement an interim <br /> solution and as traffic needs increase implement the long term alternative. <br /> Recommendation <br /> The County's consultant, on this project, has developed four alternatives for improving Benjamin <br /> Holt Drive. The Public Works Department has considered these four recommended alternatives. <br /> The consultant and Staff are presenting the four recommended alternatives to the Planning <br /> Commission for information and input. The Public Works Department will present the <br /> recommendation to the Board of Supervisors for approval of the Benjamin Holt Drive <br /> Improvement Project alternatives analysis, which recommends a phased approach to widening <br /> Benjamin Holt Drive between Gettysburg Place and Pacific Avenue. <br /> San Joaquin County (Benjamin Holt Drive Alternatives Analysis) <br /> Department of Public Works Page 1 <br />
