Wilma Avenue, Suite A <br /> Ripon,CA 95366 <br /> Subject: Review of Staff Summaries and Documentation of Noise Associated with <br /> the Munn Perkins Asphalt Plant Nighttime Operations. <br /> Dear Mr. Terpstra: <br /> Based upon your request with regards the Munn Perkins nighttime operations, j.c. <br /> brennan&associates,Inc. has provided the following summary. <br /> Asphalt Plant Noise Levels: <br /> j.c. brennan & associates, Inc. conducted continuous noise measurements at the Adrian <br /> Residence during nighttime asphalt plant operations. between 4:00 p.m. on August 17`h, <br /> and 9:00 a.m. on August 23` , 2011. In addition, observations and short-term noise <br /> measurements were conducted between 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. on August 17`h. The <br /> noise measurement results indicated that the noise levels associated with the Munn & <br /> Perkins asphalt plant were consistently higher than the San Joaquin County 45 dBA Leq <br /> noise level standard. In fact the noise levels associated with the plant may be as much as <br /> 6 dBA to 8 dBA higher than the nighttime noise level standard of 45 dBA Leq. No <br /> mitigation is proposed in the EIR. Therefore, there will be a significant impact. The EIR <br /> does not recognize a significant impact due to the operations. <br /> 1 <br />
