Note: A satisfactory percolation rate for a"shallow"test is less than or equal to 60 minutes per inch.
A satisfactory percolation rate for a"deep"test is less than or equal to 30 minutes per inch.
6.7 Discussion of Percolation Test Results
The soils within the sewage disposal areas of the Site have demonstrated a satisfactory
percolation rate in accordance with the requirements of the EHD for the use of a standard
septic system.
6.8 Discussion of Septic System Sizing
Groundwater was encountered at approximately five (5) feet below the ground surface. Septic
system construction utilizing a raised filter bed should follow the San Joaquin County On-Site/
Wastewater Disposal Standards where applicable.
7.0 CONCLUSIONS
In summary, percolation rates that meet the minimum EHD standards were achieved in the
proposed septic disposal areas of c of the oposed parcels. Groundwater was encountered
at approximately five (5) fe -low the g ands bce. The parcels appear suitable for the use
of a se tic system utilizi a raised filter be"o maintain the San Joaquin County required
distant from groundwat r level. DB was"not detected in the water sample, Nitrate was
found t 2.9 rx g/L-NO3, b6low_the_makimum contaminant level (MCL) of 45 mg/L-NO3 set by
the Unl ed S tes EPA.
8.0 LIMITATIONS
The conclusions of this report are based on the information provided regarding the existing and
proposed development, the use of the subject property, and the Site conditions as they existed
at the time we excavated our test holes and performed the percolation tests. It was assumed
that the test holes and percolation test results are representative of the subsurface conditions in
the general area.
