The notification shall also provide the security plan for the event. The San Joaquin County <br /> Sheriffs Office shall review each event to determine if additional security and or Law <br /> Enforcement staffing is required. <br /> f) During entertainment events which are determined by the San Joaquin County Sheriffs Office to <br /> require Law Enforcement staffing, the LOF shall contract with a Law Enforcement agency of their <br /> choice to provide additional security for the event. LOF shall provide the San Joaquin County <br /> Sheriffs Office with a copy of the Law Enforcement contract at least 15 days prior to the event. <br /> g) The LOF shall notify the San Joaquin County Sheriffs Office at least 60 day in advance of any <br /> entertainment events involving the use of animals, including but not limited to Bloodless Bull <br /> fights, Bull riding, Rodeo or Animal Exhibition shows. The LOF shall ensure that San Joaquin <br /> County Sheriffs Deputies and Animal Control Officers are granted full access to any animals, <br /> equipment and vehicles used during event. The LOF shall ensure that deputies and Animal <br /> Control Officers are granted this access, before, during and after the event. The LOF shall <br /> ensure that the promoters of events involving animals and their employees cooperate completely <br /> with Law Enforcement and Animal Control. <br /> 3) SHERIFF'S OFFICE ANIMAL SERVICES DIVISION (Staff Contact: Sergeant Frank Boesch 953- <br /> 6076) <br /> a) The San Joaquin County Sheriffs Office Animal Services Division requests that the responsible <br /> person/applicant within 90 days prior to the event provide business information of the owner(s) of <br /> all the animals that will perform at the event. <br /> b) Animal Services Officers shall be permitted to inspect the animals and the animals housing <br /> before, during, and after the event. <br /> c) The responsible person/applicant shall be required to have a contracted veterinarian licensed to <br /> practice in this state to attend the performance and be present at all times during the <br /> performance; the veterinarian shall have complete access to the site of any event that uses <br /> animals; the veterinarian may, for good cause, declare any animal unfit for use in any event; any <br /> animal that is injured during the course of, or as a result of, any event shall receive immediate <br /> examination and appropriate treatment by the attending veterinarian. <br /> d) The rodeo management shall ensure that there is a conveyance available at all times for the <br /> immediate and humane removal of any injured animal; the management shall ensure that no <br /> electric prod or similar device is used on any animal once the animal is in the holding chute, <br /> unless necessary to protect the participants and spectators of the rodeo or bullfight. <br /> e) Animal Services Officers shall be permitted to inspect any or all equipment to be used in the <br /> performance to assure no unlawful paraphernalia, i.e. Mexican hook spurs, spike or nail tipped <br /> banderilleros. <br /> f) The responsible person/property owner shall not violate California Penal Code 597 Crimes <br /> Against Animals, i.e. Horse tripping, steer tailing. <br /> g) The responsible person/property owner shall not violate California Penal Code 597m Bullfight <br /> Exhibition. <br /> San Joaquin County PA-0600203\Our Lady of Fatima <br /> Community Development <br /> -7- <br />
