low January 26,2006
NOA Project Number: E05091B
3.7 Expected On-Site Maximum Septic Tank Usage
A residence with one septic system exists on the property. The maximum expected on-site septic
tank usage for the property would be for a primary residence and a secondary dwelling. Septic
system design for any development should be based on the On-Site Wastewater Disposal Standards or
other engineering recommendations.
4.0 GROUND WATER INFORMATION
%W /4.1 Ground Water Depth and Gradient
`, The San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District (1998 and 1999) ground
water depth and elevation maps were reviewed to determine the ground water levels near the Site.
The Fall 1998 and Spring 1999 maps are the most current official maps available from the County.
bo According to these maps (Plates 3-6),ground water lies between 30 and 40 feet below ground
surface and flows at a gradient of about five to ten feet per mile to the east in the vicinity of the
Site.
No ground water was encountered by the staff of Neil O. Anderson&Associates, Inc. during the
drilling of one percolation test hole to a depth of three feet on December 6,2005.
4.2 Potential Ground Water Contamination Issues
Identifying potential ground-water contamination sources was not part of the scope of work for the
,. soil suitability study. Potential ground-water contamination can occur from a number of sources
which often include leaky underground storage tanks, agricultural activities, dairies, septic systems,
and storm water infiltration. Agricultural activities and the use of septic systems in the area should
be considered potential ground-water contamination sources. Please see section 4.4 for additional
water quality details.
4.3 Water Sample Location
According to Ralph Renna, there is one domestic well on the subject property associated with the
residence. A well permit was issued to Mrs. Sanguinetti on November 1, 1990 for the repair of an
irrigation well at 651 Sargent Road. The pump was replaced on the well.
5
