San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD) shall comply with the following <br /> agreement with the State Department of Health Services: <br /> The Division of Drinking Water Environmental Management (DDWEM) has <br /> determined that the public interest served by not making public water system records <br /> public, clearly outweighs the public interest served by disclosure of such information; <br /> and, therefore, DDWEM has determined, pursuant to Government Code section 6255, <br /> that such documents, and the information contained therein, are exempt from disclosure <br /> to any person(s) or entity(ies) other than another public agency, and that such <br /> documents and information are,and shall remain,confidential. <br /> Therefore, as a condition of its right to such documents, San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department hereby AGREES: <br /> to recognize, accept and protect the confidentiality of public water system <br /> records and the information contained therein; <br /> and to prohibit and prevent the disclosure of such information and <br /> documents without the prior express written consent of the Chief of <br /> DDWEM; <br /> and further agrees to refer all requests for such documents held in their files <br /> to the Chief of DDWEM. <br /> The EHD directs anyone requesting information on a public water system to: <br /> 1. Obtain this information directly from the property owner. <br /> -or- <br /> 2. Arrange for the owner of the public water system to submit to the EHD a Public Records <br /> Release Application for a file review of their system. The EHD will release the file to the <br /> owner, who then relinquishes the file to an individual or agency for review within our <br /> office.
