ATTACHMENT
BACKGROUND
The Bay Cities Truck Stop Environmental Impact Report (SCH
No. 89020161) reviewed the impact._ associated with this site and 30
acres to the east. That EIR determined that development of the
truck stop and the adjacent 30 acres could have significant
environmental impacts relating to transportation, traffic and
circulation, aesthetics, air quality, land use, services, fiscal
analysis, and flora and fauna. All potential impacts could be
mitigated to less than significant levels with the exception of air
quality impacts.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This initial study is for a one year time extension request for
approved Use Permit No. UP-88-19 , Bay Cities Truck Stop. This
initial study does not review the impacts associated with the truck
stop, rather this study reviews the impacts associated with the
proposed Time Extension only.
Environmental Comments
This study finds that there are no changes in circumstance that
would require a re-evaluation of the environmental review already
performed for the truck stop. Consequently, a Negative Declaration
for this time extension will be prepared.
Initial Study (Rev: 01/91)
9
