San Joaquin valley
Air Pollution Control District
April 12, 2006 Reference No. C20060779
Karla Kuhl
San Joaquin County Community Development Dept.
Development Services Division
1810 E. Hazelton Ave
Stockton, CA 95205
RE: PA-0600179 (GP) — 26210 N. Sowles Road, Galt— (APN: 007-130-08)
Dear Ms. Kuhl:
The San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District (District) has reviewed the project
referenced above and offers the following comments:
A General Plan Amendment pre-application to amend the designation of 90.22 acres from
General Agriculture (A/G) to Limited Agriculture (A/L) and than to subdivide into 10-acre lots will
not have an impact on air quality. However, to avoid unnecessary delays if land development is
proposed, applications should be submitted to the District as soon as the project developer has
determined the scope and specific uses of the project.
District staff is available to meet with you and/or the applicant to further discuss the regulatory
requirements that are associated with this project. If you have any questions or require further
information, please call me at (559) 230-5800.
Sincerely,
Debbie Johnson
Air Quality Specialist
Central Region
c.file
