This project is to be located at 14800 N. Start Street in Lodi. The Department has the
following comments:
1. This proposed development should pay a"traffic impact mitigation fee." The cumulative
impacts of this and other existing and proposed land use development, in this area, will
contribute to the degradation of the level of service on the State Highway System. This
degradation will eventually require improvements to accommodate the increase in traffic
volumes to the State Route 12 (SR-12)mainline, as well as the interstate 5 (I-5)/SR-12
interchange. Therefore, the Department recommends that San Joaquin County collect a
transportation impact mitigation fee on a"proportional share"basis from the developer to
hold until the fee can be contributed towards the local portion of funding for future
improvements to these State Highway facilities.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss our comments in more detail, please contact
Annette Clark at (209) 948-3909 (e mail• annette clark(aDdot.ca. ov) or me at (209) 941-1921.
%Sincerely,
Tom Dumas, Chief
Office of Metropolitan Planning
..Cohan 1,pmvea moM&,y acra.0 Cnlifornla"
