August 16, 2004 NOA Project Number: E04095A 3.1.6 Water Supply and Sewage Disposal System The EHD well and septic permit files were searched on August 9, 2004 in an effort to obtain L copies of permits for any water wells or septic tanks on the subject property. No permits were found for the subject property. This does not mean that wells and septic systems do not exist on the property, however. L 3.1.7 California Integrated Waste Management Board L The Solid Waste Information System(SWIS) database is maintained by the California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB). The SWIS database contains an inventory of solid waste disposal facilities or landfills. These may be active or inactive facilities or open dumps that failed 6' to meet RCRA Section 2204 criteria for solid waste landfills or disposal sites. L The SWIS database was reviewed online on August 9,2004; the subject property did not appear on the SWIS database at this time. The SWIS database listed no sites within a one-quarter mile radius of the subject property. 3.1.8 Department of Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources L The California Department of Oil, Gas,and Geothermal Resources(DOGGR)wildcat map 610 was reviewed for evidence of oil or gas wells on or in the vicinity of the subject property. No wells are depicted on the subject property. Three plugged and abandoned dry holes were identified within one-quarter mile of the subject property. One of these, the W.W. Holmes `Brazos-Harden' 1-5, appears to be located just east of the eastern property line. A section of the well map is included in Appendix F. 3.1.9 Site Reconnaissance L A visual reconnaissance of the subject property was conducted on August 11,2004. Photographs of the subject property are attached to this report as Appendix B. A site visit/assessment 6. checklist is attached to this report as Appendix D. The subject property was observed to be a roughly square parcel whose northern boundary is defined by Sycamore Slough. Three field roads with irrigation canals on either side cross the property,and a levee road runs along the northern boundary of the property. At the time of the 6. site visit,corn and sugar beets were being grown on the main portion of the property,and a small vineyard was located at the north. Evidence of chemical weed kill was observed along the field roads and in the area surrounding the labor camp. 10
