' 3. Products must not be applied in a burrow system that is within 100 feet of a building that is or may be occupied by people or domestic animals. This buffer zone for treatment around non-residential buildings that could be occupied by people or animals has been increased from 15 feet to 100 feet. ' 4. When this product is used in athletic fields or parks,the applicator must post a sign at entrances to the treated site containing the signal ward DANGER/PELIGRO, skull and crossbones,the words: DO NOT ENTER/NO ENTRE, FIELD NOT FOR USE, the name and EPA registration number of the fumigant, and a 24-hour emergency response number. Signs may be removed 2 days after the final treatment. A Fumigant Management Plan is a written description of the steps designed to plan for a safe, legal and effective fumigation. The certified applicator and owner of the property to be fumigated must characterize the area to be treated and ' include all safety requirements in the plan before application. ' W Methyl Bromide-Treesite ' Methyl bromide fumigation is limited to the single tree site preplant soil injection method unless additional conditions describing use conditions for other methods are attached.Applications of one contiguous acre or more are prohibited year ' round. B RM Use Near Schools ' RESTRICTED MATERIALS USE NEAR SCHOOLS No applications of Restricted Materials shall be made by air or ground within 660 feet of a school in session or when a school ' sponsored event is in progress. If the pesticide label or regulation requires a larger buffer area, the larger buffer shall apply. There will be no waiver of the required 24 hour Notice of Intent. These conditions do not apply to the following ground applications: ' 1.Vertebrate pest control 2.Back-pack applications 3.Equipment where all nozzles are pointing down AND wind direction is periodically measured as moving away from the I school site 4.Other CAC approved methods NOTE: The uses of soil fumigants and their corresponding buffer zones are covered by DPR suggested permit conditions or I by label.
